The purpose of this image collection is to provide images to the community that have been used in our publications. Our intention is that other researchers should be able to use our code to reproduce our results, benchmark their algorithms against ours, and provide common, freely available images to the community. This project was born of the frustration we have experienced in the past when trying to use images in other publications for purposes of comparison with our results, only to find that the images in question are proprietary, copyrighted to the author, or are otherwise unavailable.
All images in this collection are photographs that we have taken, and therefore we are able to give up the rights to these images. The only right we reserve for their use is that the source of the images must be provided whenever they are used in a publication. We have recused ourselves of all other rights, in order to make these images maximally useful to the community. For more information please consult our Creative Commons license.
Each image has been assigned an eslab ID number and is provided in a form as close to the original (i.e., directly from the camera) as we possess. All JPEG headers contain the information provided by the camera. We have also assembled a collection of tools for JPEG header content retrieval that we use to extract camera information from the raw images.
